Fundamentals of Computing and Operating Systems (20 Credits)

Fundamentals of MS Office package and Database Management (20 Credits)

Network Essentials with Basic Networking Concepts (20 Credits)

Introduction to Graphic Design (20 Credits)

Basic Programming in .NET and Fundamentals of Computer Systems (20 Credits)

Management a successful computer Projects (20 Credits)

Aims

This course is designed to provide a different approach from the other coursework intensive programmes on information technology. This course is targeted for students, professionals and aimed to equip them with practical knowledge leading to better education and career path.

 

Targeted course participants include but not limited to the following categories:

  • After O/L s and after A/L s students who require a professional qualification.
  • As a pre-qualification, students who wish to gain a bachelor
  • Professionals who require as a professional qualification to their career growth.

Programme Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, the students will be able to:

 

Provide fundamentals knowledge about computing

Improve basic practical skills of use of ICT effectively and efficiently.

Improve critical thinking, creativity, communication.

Collaborate in diverse team environments to make positive contributions in the IT field

Work effectively in the IT field to make a positive contribution to society.

Eligibility Requirements

No prior knowledge is required. Applicants should normally be at least 16 years old and preferably with the following:

  1. Level 3 certificate holders with Early Childhood qualification or Early Childhood teaching or caring experience and
  2. Applicants 16 years old and above and with zero Levels or work experience in similar fields.
  3. Applicants 16 years old and above without any early childhood academic qualification but with at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in early childhood teaching experience.
